Holder Park Dobermans
On the Central Coast of
California.
In a little town called Nipomo about 70 miles North of Santa Barbara.
We have been producing top quality Dobermans for over 13 years. Holder Park's line of Dobermans are heavily influenced by the Marienburg Dobermans. There is no better line for a clean bill of health, stunning beauty and highly intelligent dogs. Marienburg "Mary Rogers" was awarded the AKC All Breed, Breeder of the year award for the improvement in beauty, health and intelligence in the Doberman Pinscher breed. That's about the highest honor a breeder can get, and we were very fortunate to have started our kennel with Mary's influence.
Here at Holder Park, we strive
to maintain the Doberman Pinscher and breed to standard, which is the only breed
originally
created for it's character to protect man. Their loyalty as a family guardian exists deep in their makeup. Dolphins are known through the ages to save people from drowning, that trait exists in their makeup, naturally and really is unexplainable. The Doberman was created as a breed with something like that natural trait magnified. In the "Breed Standard" there are a handful of words related to "Character" that are the hallmark of the Doberman Pinscher of today. Proud, Noble, Energetic, Watchful, Determined, Alert, Fearless, Loyal and Obedient.
Our particular line is well suited for the family environment. They are not attack dogs but they do possess the courage and determination to protect and the intelligence to know when that is necessary. Our dogs have proven themselves over and over again that they are the sweetest, kindest, gentlest and incredibly loving family members, that do let strangers know they are not welcome in their home, without their masters approval.
We offer a full guarantee; if one of our puppies doesn't work out for any reason, we will refund your money and take gladly take him/her back. We strive for happy clients and happy puppies, that grow into magnificent family additions.
Our puppies final evaluation is done when they are 8 weeks old. Prices are finalized around that time. We normally don’t release our puppies until they are 9 weeks old. Up until then we take fully refundable deposits of $500.00 to get your place in line. If you don’t get a pup for any reason, we give the deposit back. Many kennels seem to enjoy keeping deposits on puppies never produced. We don't, and feel that's fairly shameful. Placement of puppies is in order of deposits received and accepted.
Our puppies are not cheap. Almost anyone can produce a gorgeous pure bred puppy
with great pedigrees, but where we shine is in puppies that are all that, plus
extremely intelligent and loving family members. It’s hard to put into words
but we have a lot of clients that keep trying to tell us how wonderful beyond
words their puppy has turned out.
After our puppies are weaned we start socializing them and even pay children to
play with them as they grow, so they are confident of kids, adults, other
animals,
etc. In other words, our puppies are not neglected or born under a porch
somewhere. Dobermans are a wonderful breed to start with
and we work to bring out the very best qualities necessary for family life, and we have a great reputation for matching up the right puppy in the right home.
Our puppies come with their ears done, tails done, dew claws removed, all necessary shots and records along with AKC papers.
We are not big into shipping a puppy off that the family has not met. Matter of fact we really don't like putting a happy little puppy into a box and sending them off alone in a cargo hold. We prefer our clients to come to our facility and meet everyone here. Our clients are generally warm people and a fenced yard is a must. Unless your Ted Turner and own most of Montana because it's too much to fence.
