WOW !  BIG BRAG!

Holder Park's   Elsa  and her sister Reina (at just six... six...only SIX, months old!) won their classes at an AKC Sanctioned Match in Fresno on March the 9th.  They were handled by Junior Handlers under the supervision of our handlers Pete and Charlotte Ventura.  Their Kennel Club "Sun-Maid Kennel Club" hosted the event....

Pete and Charlotte watched from another ring as the two sixth month old red sisters went back in the ring for Best of Breed.  The Judge was Elaine Hurndon, a Doberman Breeder. Everyone watched as she pulled out both girls for special examination.  The crowd cheered as she awarded Best of Breed to one of the girls!

It was a last minute decision to enter the puppies, who were at Camp Ventura for training.  They showed very well for the two young handlers they had never met.  Unfortunately, when the kids put them away there was some mix-up as to who was who.  My brother, who owns Elsa was not there (but he is sure which one won :-), nor was I.  The puppies are so identical that Pete and Charlotte could not tell at a distance which puppy won.

Since the Judge pulled them both out, we have decreed a double victory and we will share the Best of Breed ribbon. If points were involved we would have to have a duel.  Watch for the girls in Merced, April 6th and 7th.  It is a small show and for fun we have decided to show them together.  I doubt we will ever do this again because my brother and I are too competitive.  May the best puppy win!
